I married my husband Ray in 1978. We have been married 33 years. We had our first child, Ryan, our son, in 1979 and our 2nd, a daughter, Erin in 1981.
I was able to be a stay at home mom and feel so blessed to have been able to be home all through their school years.
Ryan is now 32 and is single and plans to stay that way. Erin now 30, married her high school sweetheart Jeremy in 2001. Erin wanted to be a teacher since she was in the 1st grade and in that process she always said that she didn't want any childern, her students were her kids. I never thought I would be a Grammy. In 2009 Erin and Jeremy suprised Ray and I with the news that a baby was coming. We are so overjoyed with being grandparents and each day is a blessing full of love. I now have a granddaughter, Aubrey Isabella, born in 2009 and a grandson Trevor Eugene born in 2011.
Being a Grammy is something very different than being a mom. I now have so much time to watch every little thing these sponges are soaking up and I don't miss a thing. I find myself thinking about all the little things that my own childern were doing and I missed it. I was always making sure everything was in it's place and tidy. I think back on how crazy I was about alot of things that don't matter at all now. I sometimes wish I could go back and do things differently. I was a good mother, but I could of been a more relaxed one. I know that I'm not alone in feeling this way, but it takes being a Grandparent to see it. I was told before these babes came along that it would be something wonderful and it is so much more.

I'm starting this Blog so I will be able to share all the moments that really can, "Take your breath away"
